kuyara is a free, ad-free weather and outfit recommendation app. It is developed publicly and its source is available at github.com/UBRN/kuyara.
Why did my outfits change? kuyara builds outfits from the current weather and refreshes them when the weather snapshot changes, when your clothing preference or dress style changes, and on a new day. When the AI selection is unavailable, a built-in fallback picks three outfits with the same rules, so the set can differ from the previous one. The AI selection also avoids repeating the previous day’s outfits.
Why does kuyara ask for my location? Only if you choose “Use my location”. Location is used solely to fetch the weather for where you are; you can type a city instead and never grant the permission. kuyara sends your location rounded to about one kilometre to its own weather server, never stores exact coordinates, and never includes location in analytics. Approximate location is enough.
How do I delete my data? Everything kuyara stores about you lives on your device; deleting the app removes it. The data kept elsewhere is optional: usage analytics and performance and crash diagnostics, both collected only after you accept the one consent question. Switch it off in Settings under Privacy to stop both and unlink past analytics events. To request deletion of past analytics events, email the maintainer with the analytics identifier shown on that screen. Diagnostics carry a separate identifier the app does not show, so they cannot yet be deleted on request; the privacy policy explains what can and cannot be deleted and how long each is kept.
